Shropshire Union / Llangollen Canals
Cruise north on the Shropshire Union. At Hurleston Junction turn onto the Llangollen Canal to Llangollen and return.

•   Brewood – pretty canalside village, ideal first night stop.
•   Market Drayton – gingerbread has been baked here for 200 years.
•   Whixall Moss – flora and fauna, dragonfly habitat.
•   Ellesmere – Wildlife Visitor Centre for the seven meres.
•   Frankton Junction – joins the Montgomery Canal, now under restoration.
•   Chirk – Aqueduct and Castle.
•   Pontcysyllte Aqueduct – perhaps the most spectacular aqueduct of them all.
•   Llangollen – Steam Railway up to Horseshoe Falls.

•   Barlaston – Wedgwood Visitor Centre.
•   Nantwich – close to canal, a lovely old market town, dotted with half-timbered houses.
•   Market Drayton – famous for its gingerbread, baked here for past 200 years.
•   Brewood – pretty canalside village, ideal overnight stop.
